Hey,

So I need a good loud amp for gigging in the UK. Something with nice cleans, no effects bar reverb, nice overdrive (Not needed desperately) etc.

Will look for a combo or head and cab.

Price is £900.

What have you got then?

bugera 6262 head $550 (US so its around £450) it sounds amazing its cheap, it doesnt have unnecessary effects, and its loud as hell, 120 watts with a nice cab it should be around your price range, maybe less.

I wouldn't go for a Bugera 6262 if what you aim for is cleans.
What style you playing?

I'm yet to check YouTube totally to hear the clean sound, but seems good.

If it's not too personal, may I ask why your selling it?

And how loud would you say it can get without getting any dist/overdrive on the channel?

selling it cause iv just bought a cornford so dont really need it any more. bought it as an impulse buy!

the clean channel can be cranked petter loud before it starts to break up.. put it on the pushed mode on the clean and it breaks up sooo amazingly well
mesas really are extremely versitile, i used to use a dual rec to do everything from metallica to rory gallagher

I've got a VoxAC30 CC2 that I'm looking at selling. It's in great condition and only a year old. Has a couple of marks on it from gigging but only cosmetic! Clean tone is incredible and can reach very high volumes before distorting. You can also use an A+B switch to combine the normal and top boost channels as a clean to overdrive switch. Only effects are reverb and tremelo which can be controlled with a switch that comes with it.

Let me know if interested man. Can sort out pics etc.

Sound city sc40c?

I need a smaller amp!

40 watts as you want. 212 for 400. Then you can upgrade the speakers

Buy it damnit!

Time on earth is like butterscotch; you really want more, even though it will probably just make you ill.

Ah, too many options!

My main problem is location. I'm in North Wales, so it can be quite a trek to reach places.

I'm still very interested in the Mesa, but it's around four hours away, which can be a bit costly on fuel.

The Sound City, I've googled it and can't find anything, any info on it?

The Vox, I just don't know if it would suit me, not my thing I don't think.

Ignore the sound city part, I think I googled it wrong...

Surely for the classic rock vibes my ENGL is more suitable than a mesa dual rec? Just a thought?
