Not sure if there is a History thread on here. I've been on this site for a couple years and have not seen one and have tried the search bar.

So i thought it would be cool to have a History thread game. I'm thinking about becoming a history major and find European History very interesting (although I'm from America).

The idea behind the game is that one person says a date, lets say 1914 (or could be something more specific with an actual day). The next person has to explain some historical significance to that date.

I feel like this can be a very informative thread for everyone, and fun for people interested in historical events. It can also tests everyone's knowledge of world history.

If this seems dumb and useless, then just lock it.

So i'll start with my example.

1914...

Easter Rising?

Something to do with Ireland and England. I'm not sure what it was exactly about though.

EDIT: haha, my bad. I already failed at the curriculum of my own game...

Sorry to see that yours failed. Hopefully this new game method could possibly keep alive and bring in non-history buffs.

*fingers crossed*

Yeah, maybe for a day.

Pretty hard to do with some of these as they predate the Gregorian calender.
