Hi, wanna ask you guys witch pickup does Kirk Hammett use by soling with wah-wah. bridge or neck? I know its a kinda dumb qestion, but i wanna know it. I think its bridge pickup but my guitar teacher says that every speed solo is playing with neck pickup.

Neck pickups - 81 is for solos, 85 is rhythm.
Marshall amplifiers are the truest purveyors of rock and roll known to man.

Not true

My advice: go for SD AHB1, best pickup for metal that has ever been made. It's not that I dislike EMG's sound, but IMO SD AHB1>EMG81/85

The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

Wrong. Kirk uses an 81/81 set and James uses an 81/60.

Just do whatever sounds good to you. I'm working on about 7 songs right now for an EP, and out of all of them, I only use the neck pickup for the solo on one of them. It's all about preference, and what you want the piece you're playing to sound like.

Except he's never used an 85 in the neck or bridge.

No longer accurate. Kirk Hammett has started using a 60 in the next as well.
