I've always played through a Fender Blues Deluxe, and, since it's a classic blues amp, whenever I crank it up loud enough playing live it adds overdrive to the sound. For blues, I love that, but playing Jazz and other styles, I'd like a loud, clean sound. I know that I can rebias the amp, but I'd prefer not to.

I'm getting into running my guitar through my Macbook's Garageband effects and virtual amps, and now I'm looking into Logic Studio.

I was wondering if there was a way to play live with Logic, without having the sound distorted. (loudness would be... maybe a 4 or 5 on the blues deluxe)

Would getting a solid state Marshall stack help? Do solid states tend to keep a clean sound at loud volumes? If I were to use Logic through a stack, would I just use the speaker on the bottom, or would I plug into the amp box on top? I'm new to amps and all of this stuff... thanks for the help
