Before you can scream like a , you have to learn the steps.
#1 - Hum/ sing to yourself for 10-15 minutes to warm up your voice.
#2 - Drink warm water, possibly with lemon, to keep your throat moist.
*Lemon helps with phlegm, I find
#3 - Take a deep breath from your diaphragm.
* That means, instead of your shoulders rising, get your stomach to push out
#4 - Force the scream out with your abdomnial muscles. NOT YOUR THROAT/ CHEST.
* Like you're doing crunches
#5 - Act like you are attempting to push the scream out of your nose.
* Try to make it "hit your sinuses before it comes out"
#6 - When you use a breath for a scream, immeadiately get a new one.
* Moderation in breathing is key. This will help reduce stress that will damage your throat. Don't try to use one breath on two verses unless they are quick. Act as if you need to keep some air after the line in the song.
#7 - Keep practicing!
FYI, when Melissa is talking about hitting your sinuses, shes talking about singing with rasp, she almost never covers false chord. If you're not quoting from her, I apologize.

Also, we do have a screaming thread.

This really does nothing to help someone trying to learn false chord. In fact, the verbage you use can cause much more harm than good. When you are starting out words like "force" and "push" may cause the beginner to hurt themselves substantially.

Kids: False Chord screaming is explained quite well in multiple videos on youtube. Not to mention the screaming thread deals mostly in false chord.

That's what I was thinking.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com
