I assume your talking about the $500 to $600 one correct?

If so, it's a pretty nice guitar. The necks are pretty nice and the pickups aren't too bad either. Although I suggest you go try it out and figure out if YOU like it.

But if it is in good condition and you like how it sounds and plays, I dont see why not to buy it especially for that price.

I used to own one. Really nice guitar.

At that price, unless there is something very wrong with it (which there might be if your friend is selling it at such a discount), it is worth buying it. If you don't like it then sell it on for a profit.

There's many a thread in here discussing the merits of the Epiphone Casino and the rest of the Epiphone hollow (and semi-hollow) range.

its not really a discount for him. somehow he found it one ebay for that price, got it, and it didnt appeal to him. so he tried to resell it on ebay, someone bought it for the asking price of $150, but didnt pay for it, so he asked if i was interested

If you say so. Selling a working casino for $150 would be a huge loss for him. On the other hand, it would be a huge gain for you.

They are really nice guitars i think you should try it then if it works properly and sounds good to your ear buy it because for 150 you cant really go wrong

Don't know much about them but Paul Weller endorses them and he doesn't seem the type of bloke who'd put his name to a crap guitar for a few quid?
