What are some good songs with good walking basslines along the lines of Soul to Squeeze by the red hot chili peppers or big empty by stone temple pilots?

If you really want to walk, then you have to listen to jazz. Try Autumn Leaves for starters.
"Maybe this world is another planet's hell?" - Aldous Huxley

Jazz and Swing are where you're walking lines live at. Blues also has some (Derivative of Jazz) so I would start with some 12 Bar stuff. Sweet Home Chicago would be a good start, or In The Mood by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
