Turn up the gravity. That will stop floating.

try tightening the screws that hold the trem springs (in the back cavity)... otherwise buy stronger springs. i have a .10 - .51 set on my guitar and i needed to buy two stronger springs to hold the trem down

if you want it to sound really dirty just rub some dirt on your amp...

^This. Unless you already have 5 of them on it, add springs.

And I think it's supposed to float a little bit. That's how I have my Strat, anyways.

Tighten the screws allll the way. If you use the trem bar too much the springs can wear out. And if you dont even use the trem bar, just wedge a few picks inbetween the block and the body. good luck

three things to do..

a)screw the trem springs all the way down or until the trem comes back.(tighten them)but really,5 is more than enough

or if that doesnt work

b)Drop-tune
c)change the string gauge

trem springs are incredibly durable, they hardly ever wear out..

Five springs is enough. Don't just use the trem screws to make it float. You'll wear down the cavities or the screw and strip it.
