Couple questions.

Can anyone tell me what exactly these hammer on pull of situations jerrys doing at 3:17?

Is that a scale he's doing? Lastly, when I try to play that fast my fingers won't cooperate (esp pinky, what with the wanting curl underneath). Anyone know any exercises or techniques to work on that?

It's a really standard blues kind of idea, basically just this:

e|-------5-----
b|-----5---8p5-
g|-7b9---------
d|-------------
a|-------------
e|-------------

but in the right key and sped up to hell. That particular tab is in A but obviously Jerry was playing it much higher on the neck so just move it to the right key and put it in the right octave.

You need to work on it slowly at first, gradually bringing it up to speed with a metronome.
