nofx has a crazy good bass player Fat Mike. they dont play super complicated all the time.but here are there hard, crazy insane fun songs.

The Quitter album:coaster
The Death of John Smith album: The Longest Line EP
Soul Doubt album:White Trash, Two heebs, and a bean
I'm going to hell for this one album: Never Trust A Hippie EP
The Separation of Church and Skate album: War on Errorism
Whoops, I OD'd album: War on Errorism
Fermented and Flailing album: Cokie the Clown EP
All Outta Angst album: so long and thanks for all the shoes
180 degrees album: so long and thanks for all the shoes
The Decline album: The Decline EP (warning that song is 18minutes long)

The list goes on forever. also another great bassist band is Anti-flag, all of their music really, ill list a few of my favorites.

Bring Out Your Dead album: Underground Network
Culture Revelution album: Underground Network
The Press Corpse album: For Blood and Empire
Cities Burn album: For blood and Empire
Got the Numbers album: A New Kind Of Army
Thats Youth album: A New Kind Of Army
those three albums are my favorite, all the songs on them. but take note both bassists from those two bands play with a pick. so there stuff might be alittle difficult to play with your fingers. glad if i helped. peace.

What would be the best bass string size to play something like Slipknot

Quote by Brad_Bassist
No strings. If you're playing Slipknot, you don't deserve strings.

This. Matt Freeman knows how to play. If you want a real challenge try the bass solo in Maxwell Murder.

All of Green Day's old stuff has fun basslines to play My favorites are the basslines to "Warning", "Longview", and "She"

I just mentioned this in another thread, but check out Flogging Molly, if you like Irish Punk. Requiem for a Dying Song is actually what got me interested in bass.
I'm rgrockr and I do not approve of this message.

Have a look at Stuart and the avenue by Green Day. It's off Insomniac, and it's pretty fun. Not hard, but will get your fingers moving.

Nobody plays the Descendants? Sour grapes is too fun to play. And you are all missing out on Adolescents, try some Democracy, simplicity in all its glory.

Definitely this. I Kill Children has a brilliant bassline too. Nothing fancy, but then punk isn't supposed to be. Just sounds good.

Rancid and Rise against have two of the best punk bassists, i suggest you look up some of their stuff

Yes Descendents!

Bikeage, I'm the One, Coolidge are all good tunes.

The Clash have a lot of songs with a cool bassline in them. Guns of Brixton being a personal favorite.

Hmm... other than that, maybe
Runaway by Pulley - really, really cool bass intro

The Dirt Whispered by Rise Against is a great fun song to play.

Journey to the End of the East Bay or whatever it's called by Rancid is really fun to play as well.
