Its a 1984 Marshall JCM 800 4103. But it's had some modifications done to it. It has an interesting gain modification that replaced the two inputs on the front of chassis. Input jack has been moved to back of chassis. It's going for about $650. Would this be a good amp for me for the money. I play classic rock, indie, alternative, grunge, and hard rock. Thanks

My JCM800 is from that era, although its un-modded. It sounds great and i dont think i could ever replace it. I love it to pieces. If u can try it first, i would recommend that.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
