While my PC was running, eventually a popup from Norton tells me I have like 80 virus threats while my current antivirus subscription (which is not Norton) tells me there are no threats. Now there's a shortcut for the Norton antivirus. Is this some marketing tactic?

You've got a rogue virus.

Download, install and update "Malwarebytes". Then run a full scan.

yup its true. but i suggest uninstalling norton if possible and rely on your current antivirus. malwarebytes should clean any viruses you may have.

It's an anti-virus I believe? I know it finds that shit and deletes it, if that's what you're wondering. But yeah, uninstall ****ing norton; that sucks ass. And run malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes is anti-malware, not antivirus.

EDIT: Also TS, if you need an AV, avast is pretty good, and free.
