So I've been asked to play Billie Jean (Michael Jackson version) at a gathering. I can't seem to find the right sound for the funk guitar in the song. If you do not know what I mean, listen to it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75sx7U6dAB4 It is the part that starts at about 1:36. Another example would be 3:30 to about 3:45. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded and a 15w Line 6 Spider IV, I have no pedals. Thanks in advance.

What I use for that tune is a chorus and a compressor, with the bridge/mid pickups on a strat. With a LP use the mid position with both pups on, and a real slow chorus and you should get close.

^^ I have an LP, and that's about exactly what I use for that song.
Call me Andrew. It's my name.
