Whats a good guitar to play fast metal solos and heavy metal riffs?? I learn any on my guitar because, my amp doesn't give enough sound, I don't have enough frets and the strings aren't so flexible. Also I want a whammy bar but I have a les paul. Also, can anyone suggest any good amps?

Well, what do you have now?

EDIT: Also...Budget?
Kodiak bears make awesome bandmates.

Ibanez S or RG series are my personal favorite. Neck's are super thin, and the vast majority of them come with a floyd rose system (lets you use a whammy bar without your strings going out of tune).

I say the new ESP Kirk Hamlet Signature Model (In my opinion).
In the words of Drew Shirley: ... Sorry, I'm Awesome...
(if anyone can tell me what guitar my avatar is using I'll give you a prize! just comment the answer on my page.)

...to shred, or not to shred...

lol I'm confused by TS question...

best shredder guitar EV4R? Or best cheaper shredder...

used Ibanez RG550 would be sick to have, or any prestige S or RG.

Jackson is good for both shredding and heavy riffing.
Panties 'round your knees
With your ass in debris
Doin' dat grind with a push and squeeze
Tied up, tied down, up against the wall
Be my rubbermade baby
An' we can do it all

My way - your way
Anything goes tonight

I have an RG770

Seriously, it's great for playing fast imo.
Call me Andrew. It's my name.

You have a lot of options (assumimg your budget is around $1000)

-Any Ibanez RG or Prestige
-Used Gibson Explorer or Gibson SG Standard (I don't recommend LP's, since the thick bodies and necks make shredding harder)
-Any Jackson
-Most ESP's
-many, many more

The answer is whichever guitar feels best in your hands. What may be good for one person may not be good for you.

Also, this belongs in EG.

That is true. You will shred better on a guitar you feel comfortable with rather than one everybody else uses.
