I'm looking for a guitar that has a 27" scale length (yeah I'm a giant, my arm length from middle finger to middle finger is 6'4"). The only one I've heard of with a 27" scale length is the buckethead signature les paul. Any one heard of any others that won't make me go broke (preferably somewhere around $500)
Just remember, we all used to be the kid who tried to play metal with a stratocaster and a line 6 spider amp.

ESP make a few. Schecter make a few guitars that are 26.5" I believe, pretty close.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

Check out Agile electric guitars. They go up to 27 inches and they look as good as Schecters do. You should see me drooling over guitar porn there. LOL Some Agile guitars give you a choice of what scale length you want as well.

Look at the Gretsch G5265, the Schecter Hellraiser EX, and you might still be able to get a Schecter C1-EX (it was discontinued a few months ago) if you poke around in stores. If you don’t like the baritone guitars on the market you can also buy a baritone neck from Warmoth for various bolt-on guitars and have a tech set it up for you—and given what used strats and teles sell for right now, that’s probably not a bad idea.

There's the Schecter Hellcat IV, I believe is what it's called.

It's standard tuning is an octave below a regular guitar, so essentially it's a bass. 30" scale.

But if thats not what you're after, then go for an Agile, for sure.

^^this. I doubt there's going to be many at this price point that would be better made than this one. It's 27.7" scale length.

When I played it I was pretty unimpressed. On paper the specs look great, but it just felt kind of dead in my hands and the pickups sound kind of lifeless.

Try out the LTD SC607B (27" scale), sounds massive! Occasionally, you can find a discontinued Ibanez RG7421XL (27", fixed bridge) or an RG1077XL (27" + LoPro) for slightly over $500, if you're patient.

If you're just looking for something that won't look like a toy because of your build, get an Explorer-type guitar. These tend to make some people look like hobbits.

Baritone describes the tuning, not the scale length. So if he can do E–E on a 27" guitar like Buckethead does, it ain’t a Baritone.

i dont know if thats technically true.
i think 28+ is pushing guitar definition.
but...not really relevant.

warmoth sells conversion necks that are longer and they fit any fender guitar

Agile make a few sweet looking 6ers with a 28" scale if you aren't dead set on 27". not a whole lot of 6ers in that length. Agile does make several 7s in that length as well as the discontinued ibanez XL series.

besides, i dont see how longer than average arm span merits a longer scale length since that will require extra reach with your fingers. my measure of mid finger tip to mid finger tip is 6'2" and i love my LTD explorers 24.75" scale. didnt make it any easier to get used to my 8 strings 28 5/8"s scale either.
