If you had the following pedals, what order would you put them in to maximize sound quality?

EQ:
MXR 10 band EQ

Distortion/overdrive:
Boss metalcore, Zakk Wylde overdrive/Fab distortion

Delay:
Boss DD-7
L6 DL-4

Reverb:
Holy Grail

Currently i have guitar>eq>metalcore>overdrive>fab>reverb>dd7>DL-4

how can I change up the order to maximize my tone quality? should I put eq at the end before my amp? any tips in general?

Guitar - OD - Wylde - DL4 - DD-7 - Holy Grail - Amp. I don't think the verb into the delays would sound very good.

Fab in the trash...
Suhr Custom, Flaxwood Rautia or Grosh Tele thru

Fulltone Ultimate Octave/Fuzz

oh sorry...EQ after the distortions. This is just a personal preference, but I want to control my EQ after the overdrive pedals have done their thing.

Any chance your amp has an f/x loop? If so, try your EQ in the loop. I found it made a much larger impact on my overall sound and gave more options for tweaking it.

I don't have a FX loop. at the moment I'm playing into a tiny marshall practice amp.

Also I noticed that you put reverb very last. Is there a reason why you put delay on after reverb? or is it just a preference thing?
