The band I was in decided to separate, and I want to start my own thing. I wasnt in charge of the recording, so I know nothing about it. I do know that we used a multieffect pedal (the same multieffect pedal) to record both guitar, and bass. I was wondering,
1.) Can the POD XT Live (which is what I have) be used to record bass as well? I realize its not the best for live preformances on bass but just want to use it for recording.
2.) Can I use a recording software other than the one Line 6 provides?

1.) Yes, I use it to record the bass tracks on all of my bands demos. It doesnt sound all that great, but I never tried messing with any of the settings, I always just left it on whatever settings I had for my guitar (I use my amps distortion)

2.) Yes, but I'm not sure which ones. I was able to use Sony ACID Pro through the POD's USB out, but I get a half-second or so of delay before it actually registers on my computer that I've played something, which results in off-time recordings. Again, could just be my settings.

Best of luck to you, my friend.
