Im looking for bands where the piano is a main instrument, and with some strings backing some songs and what not, kinda like Muse.

And also im looking for a really really sad sounding piano ballad/song etc. like playing dead by reggie and the full effect and this i love by G'N'R.

Yeah I'm not much for Something Corporate either. Jack's Mannequin is the bomb. For the Fray, look up "Over My Head", "Never Say Never", and "Where the Story Ends".

Dude the Fray is ****ing amazing. If you've only heard one of their songs I definitely think you should go back and give them a listen. Check out Hundred, Vienna, Enough for Now, etc. All of their songs to me are masterpieces. One of my favorite bands of all time! But other bands that everyone needs to check out is The Script and Stateless.

Ben Folds if you want an artist people have heard of.

If you want an indie band NOBODY has heard of, check out Jukebox The Ghost. They opened for Ben Folds on their last tour, and I am in love with them. One of my favorite indie bands right now, I've heard they're gonna hit it big soon but I don't know how much truth there is to that...

You can't be successful in Jazz music until you're at least 40. You don't have anything to say.
