Okay, I know this is probably going to sound daft, but...I'm trying to pick up The Who's My Generation on bass right now, and the tabs for the bass solo are confusing me. There are several notes tabbed 5h3; isn't that just a pull-off? Or is there a separate technique for hammering on a lower note on the same string that I'm unaware of?

Thanks in advance, guys(and ladies).

I figured it was, just written weird, but wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. Thanks!

Sometimes people do stupid things in tab and GP5 - most specifically GP5

But i like those 'mistakes', i like learning how to rectify them, it's a good way to learn the fretboard and other little tricks

It's probably a pull off, but it could be something called a hammer off. Freepower has a thread on it.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.
