I have a Blackheart little Giant and I am curious if I (for example) put Mesa boogie tubes in it how would that affect the sound? Would I get a more american sound or will it stay ''british''?

Thanks in advance

If you mean Mesa branded tubes of the same type, no. Also, I'm not familiar with the Little Giant, but with most amps, you cant just change tube types without some kind of adjustment. What tubes does it have, and what specifically do you want to put in it?

Tubes definitely impact tone, but i find the difference to be subtle. Others disagree.

What tubes are in it right now? Mesa tubes are just rebranded, so it is difficult to know what you're getting.

I'd recommend JJ's from eurotubes, I've had fantastic results with them. You can also shoot an email to doug at dougstubs.com and describe what kind of sound you're looking for. He can help you put a combination together that works well for you.
