Hi,

I'm quite new to video making and am having trouble rendering my videos in widescreen in Sony Vegas. My source videos are 720 by 576 at 25fps, but whenever I render the videos it squashes them into a 4:3 ratio.

I'm sure I just need to change a setting or something, anyone know what to do?

Thanks

At the top bar you will see a menu/preferences settings button for the project. You need to set that to the native settings of the original media. Be sure you have the aspect ratio set correct from the start and move on to editing.

When rendering out you will need to once more go over a few of those settings on a new pop-up page and find what works for your media.

720 by 576 is a PAL format so be sure to look for those under the presets when setting up and rendering out a project.
