what are some good metal concept albums that have a sifi theme to them and have progressive or symphonic elements to them and please dont recommend any bands that scream but if they roar/growl(deat metal vocals)that is fine

Crack the Skye, Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory, Fortress, Colors.
And Good Apollo Vol. 1: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness and OK Computer if you're looking a little lighter.

Abducted by Hypocrisy has somewhat of a paranormal theme to it. Its not a full concept album but songs like Roswell 47 have death metal vocals. Also the songs Slippin Away and Drained have more clean vocals with almost symphonic elements. But if you want pure concept albums King Diamond's album The Eye is my personal favorite.

i think you're describing coheed and cambria in a nutshell there. their discocraphy is one huge progressive sci-fi tale.
All the way from Palm Springs, just out of detox.

Not quite concept albums, but some decent death metal with sci fi-ish themes;

Psycroptic- Ob(servant)
Origin- Antithesis
The Faceless- Planetary Duality
Decapitated- Organic Hallucinosis
Beneath the Massacre- Dystopia

also, if you haven't yet, you should check out Black Sabbath's "DEHUMANIZER"

SciFi theme? I suppose The Great Misdirect by BTBAM would fit that bill.
all I ever wanted was to pick apart the day
put the pieces back together my way

Check out the recommendation thread in the metal forums.

For non-death/"extreme" metal bands' concept albums, check out:

King Diamond - Abigail, Them
The Lord Weird Slough Feg - Traveller
Hammers of Misfortune - The Bastard, The August Engine
Sabbat (UK) - Dreamweaver (though this might be bordering on "Extreme" for you. Give it a shot, it's probably my favourite album of all time).
