Posted a link to my bands myspace AGES ago with a song we did. After much backtracking, delays etc, we finished this one. I say finished: we still need a vocalist

Guitars were recorded with an Ibanez JRG8527 with seymour duncan Blackouts. Bass was a 5 string Yamaha of some description that I borrowed .
All guitar/bass parts were recorded through Axe-Fx except the acoustics which were micced.

It's heavy and big like a Chevy. And a free download! Love to hear your thoughts

*UPDATED*

Added vocals. FINALLY. Mix could be better, but I'm sick of people moaning about how the snare is too snappy or the 293812-391823 mHZ FREQUENCY NEEDZ B00STIN'.

But aye; some screaming over chunky grooves for you all.

So, aside from the piano, the chorus, and the acoustic part, basically all I heard was noise.

You, good sir, have not gone over to your friends house after a hard night of drinking to find 2 dudes passed out in the same room both holding their own flaccid cocks in hand, passed out, with porn on the tv.

That main riff. It's just open string and random notes hit at random times. There's a fine line between technical and random.
I guess it's just my musical preference.

Haha, right.

Sounds good, man. Sounds like a Periphery b-side, except that their actual b-sides are pretty boring and this is actually interesting. I dig it. I don't know whether it's heavily gated or what, but it sounds tight as hell. I like that aspect, but at the same time, I think it's either clipping or the tone is just not to my liking. Better than anything I could do, man!

We've had a few people saying it's too loud; I reckon it's clipping. But thanks so much man for the comments!

This sounds great, I loved it. The dissonance in the little solo interlude is a bit harsh, but the way it resolves into big melodic part is nice. Very tight playing throughout, especially part around 0:53-1:05, that sounds incredibly robotic. Vocal performance was great. AxeFx sounds awesome, as always, and the acoustics sound excellent. This new mix sounds way better than the one you posted in June. I'm really looking forward to hearing more!
Let's party.

the original solo was melodic as sin, but our guitarist is this 16 year old jazzhead who decided it would be much better if it was entirely wholetone

cheers guys! new stuff will hopefully be done soon. it's been a bitch getting any real momentum for this band going, but fingers crossed, we'll have another song soon
