And as I was walking in, a polite man held the door for me and my friends. I looked at this guy. And I was all, "Are you Tommy Emmanuel." And he was all, "yes."

I met Tommy Emmanuel today!!!! Totally out of the blue and in Utah of all places!

How awesome is that!?

Have you ever ran into someone Awesome unexpectedly.

Tommy Emmanuel is one of the best guitarists in the world. What's more, he's Australian. If you don't know who he is, then you don't deserve to be a member of this site.

Not as famous as some, but I once ran into Nic Cester (of the Australian band Jet) outside a tobacconist in Canberra. He had just bought smokes and I was walking past. I recognised him and so I stopped to say hi. He ignored me. He is pretty small and weedy IRL.

Awesome, TS!

I met Wil Francis of Aiden at a Hot Topic in Seattle 3 years ago. He was pretty nice.

Not really unexpected, but my band played in a talent show where Cassadee Pope performed. Not too long after she formed Hey Monday and became huge.

My dad has done antique repairs at Jimmy Page's house a number of times.

My dad was parked over the road and couldn't get across because the traffic was so busy, so Jimmy stepped out into the road and put his arms out and let my dad cross.
#22
Yeah no. That was almost funny the first time it was done. That was quite a while ago now. Grow up kid.

Claudio Sanchez at the Coheed gig on Wednesday last week. Me and a friend were heading to the line, and as we were about to cross the road, we saw a guy walking down and a few people waving. Walked towards him and it was Claudio. Got him to sign my SSTB album cover. He said he was off to get fish & chips.

Nah I wouldn't sell that thing ever. It only cost me £350 and I had a budget of £1000. It goes up to £500 though. Sounds amazing and it's visually stunning too, especially the back

I've had conversations with Geddy, Lifeson Downie, Dallas Green (didn't know who he was until after), and various other Canadian musicians who probably aren't known outside of Canada.
