Alright so here's whats up. I've done a few threads on this guitar before since I really want to do something different to it. This is what it was like stock.

After five years of playing it and getting a JEM it really hasn't gotten much attention out of it. But I've been thinking of starting to use it for gigging and such since I don't want my JEM to die. I've used the JEM for a while for gigs but It'd be nice to have a cool backup. Right now this is what it looks like.

Yep no single coils for it any more and it only has a volume control. I got rid of the tone controls. I'm debating on changing the shape a little and filling in the single coil holes for either a humbucker in the neck or just a single humbucker. This was my thought on what I want to go toward.

Although I want other people and opinions and possibly efforts on what you think I should do by making your own mockup. I'm good with a router and bandsaw so no worries about shape change and routing. Just shoot me ideas!!

I might do the headstock another time. Right now this is mainly the body same goes with inlays but I think I'm keeping the dots.

Onboard mids scoop?

With all that extra cavity space, you might as well put something cool in there. My vote goes for treble boost and a killswitch.

hell, you can put pretty much anything you want in there if you really tried hard enough. An onboard mid scoop would be pretty easy, I would go for an onboard phaser, as that is my favorite effect, hands down. If you do need wiring help, you can head over to the Ultimate Wiring Thread, I know they have a passive mid scoop in the OP under passive mods.

I guess in the end, it comes down to, "what do you want to get out of this guitar" You tell us that, and we'll tell you how to get there

Whenever I clean my guitars, my family wonders why it smells so good; I say that I exude a fresh citrus scent from hidden orifices.

I never used the bridge since I didn't have a trem bar but that is a good idea.

My next thought is either staining the mahogany (body wood) purple and doing gold hardware or painting the body purple and using gold hardware.

I don't know if I'm digging the purp/gold combo. Unless its a more subdued maybe.

Your guitar though, go for it!

you could put/make a decal or something to put on there, to grab attention or something

Do a total (eye catching) custom paint job if you're going for looks. Try using a stencil to add spray paint decals if you're not artistically inclined; it looks sharp and professional. Also, you could do inlays into the body (if you know how).

Try painting the body white and adding gold hardware. Looks classy.

Well I already have a JEM and that thing is already White and gold but the stencil work is a good idea.
