I've been listening to jazz for as long as i can remember but for some reason I don't know any great jazz guitarists, (I know mostly trumpet players and sax players). Honestly, I only know Grant Green's music and I love his playing so I was hoping someone out there can offer me up some more players for me to listen to. Youtube clips would be awesome too.

Thanks in advance

Aside from the ones mentioned, I'd like to throw in Jan Akkerman.
will someone carry me across ten thousand miles under the silence

Larry Carlton
John M as afore mentioned
Pass
John Scofield
MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO
Jan Akkermann, great recommendation, Joel, although i feel he leaned more towards prog and fusion, never the less.
Walter Becker - Steely Dans primary guitarist.
I'll second Django,, he IS the most influential jazz guitarist.
As afore mentioned also George Benson. my favourite and probably the most respected jazz player ever.

There's too many to mention, but let's name some:

Al Di Meola, Barney Kessel, Bireli Lagrene, Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Frank Gembale, George Benson, Herb Ellis, Jim Hall, Joe Pass, John McLaughlin, John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Larry Coryell, Philip Catherine, Pat Metheny, Ralph Towner, Tal Farlow, Wes Montgomery....

I could list more, but those are I listen to most often.
And my fav one is Meola, probably because I could see him so many times
