Hi, everyone.

My first and most beloved guitar is a Cimar Stratocaster copy (see for yourself). I like how it sounds and feels, but the colour has been bugging me since I got it. The plain varnished wooden skin is dull, and I want it black.

So, I bought some black spray paint. Is it OK if I paint it with spray paint? I've heard that some paints won't allow the wood to "breathe" or something.

edit.

The guitar is at least 20 years old.

Spray paint is usually the chosen paint for guitars.
That and using a spray gun.

This should be in the painting thread.
