Hello,
i´ve been thinking about tinkering some stuff i have at home and i need an advice. I have one speaker 30w, 8ohm; two speakers 15w, 4ohm; two speakers 20w, 8ohm. Could i connect them together like this:

|- 30w (8ohm) - 15w (4ohm) - 15w (ohm)--|
-------------------------------------------------------
|- 20w (8ohm) - 20w (8ohm) ------------------|

(aka. make group one of 30w, 15w, 15w and group two of 20w, 20w and then put the two groups in parallel)

to make a 100w cabinet with impedance 8ohms?
Would it be possible? Thanks

I don't think the wattages add up like that. if you have two groups of speakers in paralllel, I think the 100W will get divided evenly 50W/50W between the two groups so the 60W is fine but the 40W won't be. I'd search for more info though, I may be completely wrong.

Oooooh I missed the 100W part. Idk, most speakers can actually handle more than their rated wattage, and in all honesty how often are you going to run it at 100W? You can probably get away with it, although it's not ideal.

Would i have to add some power supply or is the electricity coming through the jack enough?
So do you think that putting it like 20w, 30w and 20w, 15w, 15w? Thhus giving me 50w on both lines and overall impedance 8ohms?

That would work. And what the hell are you talking about with the power supply? The power supply is your amp's output.

Ok, thanks. So this way i'll get a cab able to handle 100w amplifier head, right? Just to be sure

*double checks* Sorry man I've been kinda out of it today, doctor's visits checking on crap, not been feeling well, idk if I feel qualified to say for sure. Ask Jim or someone, but I'm pretty sure the load would be distributed unevenly between the speakers due to their differing impedances and it still wouldn't handle 100W. Sorry if I gave a little misinformation earlier, just been really cloudy.
