I pretty much just took the original song and wrote guitar parts for it.

Keep in mind this is kind of a joke anyway, I just figured I could maybe get some feedback if anyone has a chance to listen to it. I apologize for the amateur recording quality

It sounds alright, but a few of the chords sound unusual or awkward over the original harmonies... Perhaps you've gotten the scale or progression wrong? I know that R&B uses a TON of borrowed chords. Other than that, your playing is sound. It sounds like you were trying to make it a lot darker, which you may have been able to do given an isolated vocal. :P

Hey, can you crit this?

The vocal melody doesn't fit at all with the guitar part.

Right, the chords probably were off. I have very little knowledge of musical theory, I looked up the chords and just made them into power chords.

The rest (the harmonized part in the verses, tremolo picking, etc.) was sort of a joke, cause it sounds so out of place in an R&B song.
