UG,

Is the RP1000 worth $250? I was going to buy the toneport UX2 and came across this. Will it be as good as a recording device? Are the effects on it good? (Mainly the wah, compressor and distortion).

Thanks,

(Getting it today and I'm stingy when it comes to spending money ;P )

YES YES & YES.

That's a great price for an RP1000. You should definitely pick that up.

THe RP1000 records via USB and does a fantastic job of doing so. Plus all the amp models and effects sound great. You'll love it.

The WAH & Compressor are better then the pods (and they are actually usable!).

Also, you should take the RP1000 and plug it into the effects return jack of your Spider Valve 212.

It will sound Awesome (just remember to turn of Cabinet modeling if you do this).

For $250? Hot damn yes. To be honest, I don't really care for the distortions of the RP series, but I do love the large amount of relatively good sounding effects. I say go for it.

Well, after playing with it for a little while I am pretty happy. You can go in and tweak everything, it's pretty insane. I will do a "NPD" Thread in a few days, no free time tomorrow to jam with it.

Incredible deal.

I always hated Digitech modeling. It always sounded artificial to me and I had many moments where I would poke fun at it.

Then the RP1000 came out and I was so impressed that I had to buy one for myself.

You made a good buy on that one. I never wanted to get the rp1000 because I thought it had way to many buttons. For the price though good buy.
