My first amp was a Fender FM65DSP. I still have it and like to use it for noodling and general practice. You might be able to find one at a local used stuff store for $200 or so.

you dont have to have 75 watts to have good sound... 75 watts is a lot for a bedroom amp. if possible find something with maybe a few effects you can mess around with too to maybe keep you entertained if you dont already have pedals
