i'm looking at expanding my music taste atm. i've heard this kind of classical music before in stuff like the God of War games and films but i've never been able to put my finger on it.

i'm talking about the kind of classical music Symphony X used for the intro to their Paradise Lost album (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbcXSrfyY78).

Just really big scale, epic classical music with dark touches, can someone help me out? Maybe even recommend some artists?
A lot of neo-classical is heavily classical based, and a fair bit of melodic death metal has classical inspired leads. Or for epic classical, you could listen to actual classical music.

I suppose I need to know a little more what your looking for, in terms of instrumentation and stuff.
Try some Nightwish, TS.

I believe there is a Classical thread around here somewhere...
