I am looking for a new electric guitar, I can spend $500-$800. I have been looking around everywhere, if I like something there seems to be a problem with it or it just doesn't fit. If anyone can give me advice on a guitar in this price range. (Gibson and Fender really, I am pretty much hate Ibanez)

Also, be aware that there are more guitar companies out there besides Gibson, Fender and Ibanez.

And considering Gibson and Fender necks are very different, I'm assuming that what you mean is that you don't like non-traditional shapes?

Help us out here. We can't read your mind.

As far as Fenders, you can either get a new MIM strat/tele or a used MIA strat/tele in this price range. You can probably find a used Gibson in this range as well.

However, the above posters are correct. The most important question is, what kind of music do you play? That will go a long way in getting good recommendations.
