Hi, me and my bandmates recently decided to add a new influence to our sound... 70's porno music! Actually, not really. I want to buy a wah, and I was thinking something that could sound like the one on 'Prowler' by Iron Maiden, but could still be able to get funky. If anyone has any suggestions of something that can do this, please share your ideas. Preferably one that can do clean and distorted.

Thanks for the help

My original crybaby nails that kinda tone fairly well. And it happens to be for sale :P

If you live in mid michigan I'd be glad to sell it to you.

Unless you wanna pay for shipping ofc.

The wah used in 'Shaft' is the Maestro Boomerang. Check it out.

not to rain on your parade, B.Renegades, but there are far better wahs for the price, as most here on UG would agree. there's probably a reason you're selling it, aside from your practicing your fantastic product salesmanship. :P

a fulltone wah would suit you wonderfully. or even a wah suited to the era, such as one of the Vox wahs, which are also cheap. are you looking for just a clean wah or to be able to use distortion as well?

What Raijouta said. The Fulltone Clyde Deluxe does a nice Boomerang type sound. That's mainly what I used mine for when I owned it.

Well, seeing as how I wouldnt want to limit the use of the wah, something versatile would be best. Do wahs happen to have a golden age or anything, or are they still getting better?

The best wah I've ever played/owned is my RMC3. I like it better than even the vintage stuff I've played, even a particularly great Italian Vox that was at a guitar show. And it's incredibly versatile. The Fulltone is also nice sounding and semi-versatile. It will do a better Boomerang type sound if you want that though.
