Most Killswitch Engage songs are fun to play and not that hard. You said that you like Trivium, Tread the Floods is a fun song to play by them, as well as Entrance of the Conflagration (fun but I probably wouldn't listen to it for the sake of listening to it lol). Oh and I enjoy playing Lamb of God, Hourglass is fun, so is Set to Fail.. LoG songs have a cool feel once you learn to play them.

I think Kirisute Gomen by Trivium is really fun to play.

Until I get to the solo.

...

Also, Lamb of God... pretty much anything off of As the Palaces Burn is fun. I really like Vigil. I should learn For Your Malice too...

Kreator- People of the Lie
Testament- Into the Pit
Metallica- Creeping Death
Exodus- The Toxic Waltz
AC/DC- Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (throw lots of gain on this song and add more guitar chug, it becomes metal real fast)
#20
Well you might not be into it, but one of the most fun songs I've learned lately is Red Dress by LoveHateHero. Then the most challenging song I've been learning is Calling All Cars by Senses Fail.

Both are fun, but not really "metal," more like post-hardcore. I r not a metalzhead ftlz0r.

Good taste in music right here.

Either ^^^ or try Holy Diver - Sabbath, or even the KSE cover - it has a nice solo in it.

Sure, it's in D standard, but it's amazingly fun to play.

This man speaks wise words of wisdom.

If you like trivium... Ascendancy is fun to play, especially the tremolo picking riff. Like light to the flies is also cool, same goes for To the rats. You could also try some riffs from The Crusade (the actual song), there are some cool riffs in there.

No! Bad N00b! Holy Diver was by Dio!

TS: Why can't you just pick songs that you like? Wouldn't that be easier?

Schism by tool, if you want something a bit different but still good.

Harvester of Sorrow is pretty fun as well once you get it down.

Try the unforgiven as well

You could also do Vicarious by Tool. Or Lateralus.

Scratch that, any Tool song is good to learn. Plus 99% of their songs are in Drop D.
