I am going to build a homemade talkbox but I want to be able to bypass it and play through the speaker. BUilding the talkbox is easy its just a driver with a tube but I need true bypass. According to the Dunlop Heil manual you can hook it up between an amp and speaker and press the button to bypass it. Does nyone own a Heil and know how this works. I thought that switching while playing between the amp and speaker like that would blow the amp? Also if it is possible to do this would it ned special wiring because of the powerful swiching. I know stompboxes and A/B switches work because there is such a weak signal there is no damage. If this talkbox design works could I just use an A/B switch between the speaker and the talkbox.
^You would think an A/B box would work but I'm not sure what drives the speaker.
