This is a song I had to write in english, about family troubles. I wrote about a father leaving his family. Hope to read your comments, enjoy

Verse 1
Your bags are at the door, plane ticket in hand
I'm watching but I don't understand
Mum's screaming, bout all the broken promises
You don't say sorry
You don't say a word
You just keep your head down
And I'm still watching
Not understanding

Chorus
I remember the tears
Running down my face
The taste of dirt in my mouth
The pain of knowing you saw me
You never stopped to say goodbye
Just got in and drove away
And I faded in your rearview mirror

Verse 2
You used to call
But i never wanted to hear your voice
Your eyes may be the same as mine
But don't think for a moment
We're one of a kind
Cause you weren't there
When i needed you the most
What makes you believe i need you now

Chorus

Bridge
You left a note one day
It stayed where you left it
You never cared for me
So i don't care for what you have to say

End

Was it by any chance modelled after Pearl Jam's song of the same name?
I guess though, if the subject is similar, similar metaphor's will be used.

It's good though.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the song, and having that title in my head as I read it reminded me of it a lot.
But you've done a really good job.
