hey all. for those who don't know, i've become the new bass0rz player for Days of the New.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Days_of_the_New

anyschways, i needed to get a roadworthy cheapo fiver for the next run of shows and i found a beauuutiful looking and sounding, but totally inexpensive, fiver. no floppy B. they're apparently a small company and have no "map" price, meaning stores can sell them for whatever price they want to. my store happens to sell them cheap. apparently in new england they sell for twice or triple the price here.

anyways! probably just a bunch of BS salesman banter. point is, it plays great. sounds good. active pickups. haven't quite figured out which knobs are what. i assume one is a blender, one is lows, one is highs or mids and then the obvious volume control.

$240 altogether. the bass was supposed to come with a gig bag but the dude said, eff it, i'll give you a hard case for free. so i got a pretty nice (looks like some kind of fake alligator skin) hard case fo' free.

without further ado ... *drum roll* ... bass porn:

Very nice. I have a bit of a fetish for basses with a neck jazz pickup and a bridge humbucker

Congrats on new job, and is that "brice" bass by chance?

The resonant frequency of the clitoris is too low for the guitar players to take care of.

Looks great, i've never played a bass with a jazz pickup and a humbucker for longer then a few minutes but i now want to.

Only thing i can pickout is it looks liek it neckdives but that might just be me being used to playing a 22 fret.

happy new bass day

EDIT: holy shit your in a known band, congrats man

but what about the highlight reel

to the guy about brice:

no, it's some thing called Lovell. online all i could find was a dude in australia, but the store guys claim it's a dude in tennessee who sells them.

it reminds me a lot of the Douglas though that is sold on rondo's site.
