Alright, so I'm finally getting a band back together, and on wednesday me and the guitarist are gonna go down to a Jam Night at the local pub, and just play about 3 songs.

Any suggestions? Keep in mind that this is a pub, and while there are amplifiers, it isn't exactly the setting for Necrophagist or anything with screaming.

Also, since we don't have a drummer yet, we're gonna be jamming with some random drummer, so the songs need to be in consistant 4/4 or 3/4 time.

Any suggestions?

A couple ideas I've had so far (still need to run them by the guitarist)

Devin Townsend - Coast
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
A Perfect Circle - Tres Libras

Just play Three Libras over and over. I will fly over and watch if you do.

oh no, please don't, we're probably gonna sound horrible

like I said, first time on stage in ages, with a guy I haven't known for long
this is gonna be interesting, and probably not very good

Fun as hell, but not my best

Hey Ya Acoustic is really nice, but it's really only for one guitarist with no drummer. What sort of place are you playing at? What sort of people go there?

It's an Irish Pub, normal people go there. It's a Jam Night, and there are always a bunch of different music styles there (except metal, obviously).

There's a thread for setlists I believe. It may be in musician talk actually. Either way, not the pit. I don't actually care, I just wanted to make a snide comment.

Irish Pub = Thin Lizzy

"Cowboy Song" would go great.

Other potential songs
"All Right Now" Free
"Like A Rolling Stone" Bob Dylan
"Cocaine" JJ Cale (or Clapton's more popular version)

Pubs are made for cliche rock.

JacobTheEdit: I almost forgot. "Love Removal Machine" by The Cult.

Check out any song by "The Black Keys", they're all pretty easy to play but they're damn catchy
