You guys might come in and think "ah, another RG"

Nope.

It's an Ibanez ART120

Mahogany body, set in neck, active LZ-1 pickups, and infinite sustain lol

The body weighs a fair bit, heavier than my GRG, somewhat around the likes of an Epi Les Paul.

The neck is slim, but not as slim as wizards , but very fast to say the least

Great clarity on each note, let it be clean or dirty. And also, accessibility is not hindered, the cutaway starts at the 17th fret

DBZ guitars, love'em. Especially their Les Piccolo model.

A friend of mine has the same guitar. I'm not generally an Ibanez fan, but this guitar is beautiful. HNGD, man!
Q: Favourite Pink Floyd song?
A: The one where they get wicked high and play Emin and A for an hour.

I hate LP's, but that inlay and finish is sexy.

Will you please elaborate more? Specifically on the active Ibanez pickups. I'm curious.

I can't really compare it to other guitars, but the actives are just around half a step lower than EMGs in terms of heaviness (which I tried on an LTD-401) but to the untrained ear, it almost sounds the same.

BUT for clean tones I'd say this wins, it has its soft bass overtones and clarity from treble (playing through the neck pickup) . I'll try to upload a simple clip.

I wish I had gotten this guitar instead of my SG after I learnt about it.

HNGD You were right I was expecting another RG

Sorry, I really should have clarified. I don't mean the sound, but just the design.

Is there a battery cavity? What kind of battery does it take? Do they have quick connect's like EMG's?

Elaborate on that stuff.

Ah this one takes 2 AA batts Yup there's a battery cavity for it. I'm not so sure of the quikconnects, have yet to find a screwdriver to open up the back.

*nod* That's what I heard but I wasn't sure... that's weird. they definitely wouldn't be compatible with EMG's then.

When you get a chance to open up the back, see if you could put a 9V in there.

All just curiosity, really. Might get an RGA one day. You never know.

I really wish I would've picked up this guitar instead of the cheaper version.
The only real turn-off to me is the Active pickups. If I'm going to have Actives, I'd prefer EMG's or some Dragonfire pickups. I've played a few of the and the neck feels a bit thick for an Ibanez and that bothered me.

it's got a tramp stamp on the 12th fret! otherwise i like it. nice looking guitar!!
