I play mostly metal like metallica, iron maiden and trivium and I have the chance of picking up a used tsl 100 and 1960a cab in perfect condition for 900. Is that worth going with because I've never actually played one?

It has g12t-75's I think. The DSL is a lot more liked from what I hear but is there really anything much in the difference besides the 3rd channel?

The DSL is a bit looser sounding with high distortion to me. The TSL is kind of thin sounding to me, but that was just me noodling on one and only a bit of messing around with the eq.

I love my TSL100. Great amp and can get the tones you want.
