Hey guys, are there any melodic death bands that don't use harmonization/only have one guitarist?

There wouldn't be, that's more of a trad. doom thing. Melodeath's shit listen to standard death.

^Don't be a dick. Taste is subjective.

OT: One of the main features of melodeath is harmonies. I can't think of any single guitarist bands in that genre that don't use overdubs or touring guitarists.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but things can still be melodic without harmony I guess. Even though that statement itself is illogical...

Well no guarantees TS, but here is a bit of melodeath that doesn't rely extremely heavily on harmonization (via layering and such, that is).

Ablaze My Sorrow - If Emotions Still Burn
Arsis - A Celebration Of Guilt (depends on the song, I suppose)
At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul
Dark Flood - Still Liberty
Neuraxis - The Thin Line Between (a more technical melodeath)
Utopia Banished - Night Of The Black Wyvern (maybe)

Like Das_Skittles said, harmonization is utilized quite often in melodeath, but hopefully one of those is to your liking.

You could also try checking out Quo Vadis. They're basically melodeath with a lot of tech and thrash influences. And they avoid the harmonies stuff.

Amorphis do have a lead and rhythm guitarist but don't rely on dual harmonies.

I’ve come to take back what’s rightfully mine and now you’re damned
The lights grow dark in their homes
But our road is lit by fire from the sky
So we push forward
