well ive been looking for a new amp for a couple of months now and have a small lead as to what i might get. my first thought was the krank rev junior standard with just one cabinet. then i thought about the mesa/boogie f-50. but i want some more feedback to what i should get.
i like heavy metal like lamb of god and i like melodic stuff children of bodom. but then i like to play some clean stuff too. i was thinking of getting a tube amp but i have boss mt-2 distortion pedal and apparently tube amps and distortion pedlas dont go well toether.
my price range is anything up to 1,200 australian dollars.

thanks for any feed back

If you can get a Mesa/Boogie I would go for it. Also check out some Blackstar amps.

Where did you hear that distortion pedals don't go well with tube amps?

i heard it on another UG forum.
it was something like: tube amps + distortion pedals = hang yourself

no that's solid state amps + distortion pedals = hang yourself. but that's not quite 100 true either.
