Hello pit!

Right well, in a bit over a week I'll be returning to school for the important end bit. My sleep pattern has sort of slipped a bit, I woke up at 4 PM today, so instead of trying in vain to go backwards and spending the first few weeks back getting 1 hour sleep a night, I'm going to try a thing. This would involve going to bed 2 hours later every night, so that by the end it'll have come almost full circle and I'll be waking up at 8 AM. Does that sound like a remotely sensible thing, or will I die immediately?

This seems most likely.

I have chronic insomnia and this is exactly what a sleep specialist recommended me to do whenever I get too far off schedule. It's also apparently much healthier then losing sleep to get back on track, or taking sleeping pills. Good luck!

True, but if I don't do something like this it'll be "nah man, I got an hour's sleep last night and feel like my face is a wet pancake sliding down a wall".

That's brilliant, cheers. I'll definitely do it then.

I literally just thought of this myself yesterday, seems like a good plan, the only downside would be explaining to your parents why you're going to bed at such strange times, I'm sure they'll understand

What I used to do when I was at school and my sleeping pattern was messed up was to just not sleep the night before school and just deal with spending one day at school exhausted, it was good enough for me

Uberman sleep pattern.. DO IT!

That will mess you up. The whole thing is based around the assumption that you will never miss a nap or get sick.

Everyone gets sick at some point.

When my sleep patterns were ****ed (Sleeping from sleeping around 6/7 am to mid afternoon) I just didn't sleep for a day and when 10 pm came the next day I pretty much passed out and woke up between 7 and 8 am and have kept a normal sleeping schedule since.

As the hollow men
The stuffed men.
