Recently the weather has gotten very cold. I also notice that the back of the guitar is slightly curved, like a dome. not sure if it is suppose to be like that or not. There is also a minor crack/slit.
Is this normal?

The back of a guitar is supposed to be slightly convex. Post pics if possible.

A minor crack could be from being too dry.

You mention the weather has gotten very cold. Have you been turning the heat on in your home? How do you store your guitar?
Some electrics...
Some acoustics...

Agreed. My Martin and Seagull both have slightly convex backs. The purpose of the bend is to give it a little more strength. Some people also suggest that it helps with projection as well.

The crack might need addressing, although it depends on the type of crack.
