So pit, I'm pretty sure we'd all love to be rock stars or porn stars, but as life shows, it's not always so easy.

So what other jobs or careers would you personally find to be fulfilling?

Also, being a pimp does not count.
#2
I'd hate to be a porn star.

And I'd like almost anything outside, other than dog shit picker upper and other associated career paths.

Saying that my dream job would be an author, above all else.

Wildlife rehabilitor. As of right now I get to do it every other weekend. I help stranded or sick seals/sea lions get back to health before they get released back into the wild.
Other then that maybe a tech job of some sort.

Working on video game music and sound, or movies, or great music.

Programming is pretty cool too. I like the idea that I can pretty much modify any hardware that uses memory.

I'd enjoy being a professional sports team executive (GM, President, etc.). Whether it be in the NBA or MLB or NFL. I'd prefer the NBA though, although any of those would be a lot of fun for me.

My realistic career goal for now is a Network Engineer/Specialist.

This is the issue I'm facing at the moment trying to apply for graduate jobs. I don't know what I want to do

Maybe EFL teaching or something but i don't even think I'd be that good at it.

If I could choose anything, then I guess my top would be a rock star lol
But wouldn't mind doing Sound Engineering or being a Studio Musician

He asked for careers not including being a famous rock musician.

edit: I'd love to be some sort of important programmer for a big company, or a small company dealing in open source software. Obviously I'd need some money out of it though which most open source developers don't typically get much of

Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree is a self-taught audio engineer, not quite the same but yeah. It's not as impossible as it sounds.

I'm surprised no one has said anything relating to medicine. It's a lot of work, but it seems like it would be very fulfilling.

I actually aspired to be a doctor for a while. I chose another, more realistic path though, upon discovering the bloodbath that is the selection process for Med School. There was no way I was ever going to meet the requirements.
I shall grant you three wishes.

None of which will work.

Does the above post enrage, offend or confuse you?

Good.

From your work in the hugging thread I can imagine you'd make a good therapist. You have that air of caring and trustworthy but down to earth logic about you.

For some reason I want a job with patient contact. I've thought about medicine, of course, but as someone said above, it's a pain getting in.

Above all, I'd like to be a pharmacologist. I also enjoy psychology. If I could ever find the free time, I would probably write. Or program. It all depends.

Right now, I completed a Masters in Public Affairs, Public Relations and strategic marketing management.

I'm the director of the corporate communications sector of the firm I work in. Basically I:
-Establish a diagnosis of problems/potential problems
-Make recommandations, establish long term strategies
-Give conference and workgroups
-Establish good procedures in project management, conflict management and crisis management

But I'd love to work in the car field. My dream job is to be Vice-President Communications and Marketing for Mercedes or BMW Canada.
