Today, I ventured to the nearest music shop to get some strings. Unfortunately, they did not have the strings I use (Beefy Slinkys), but what they did have was this.

An Electro-Harmonix Pocket Metal Muff. They had it on sale for $63 and i figured that it was an ok deal, and decided to Buy it.
I took it home, and plugged it into my chain. It sounds great, even through my Spider. Great Chunky, biting distortion sound with the Scoop switch on HI, however I really don't like it on Lo or Off. It gives me the Thrashy, Distorted tone I've been looking for.

ive been looking to get one of those, still trying to decide between the micro, the top boost, or this...

is it very versatile? because if so then i'll probably end up getting that

Seems like you're doing something wrong then

HNPD. I'd never buy it considering my playing style but EHX pedals are rock solid.
