So the time is getting closer for me to buy my new preamp.
Yes, me selling my ISP Theta for $600 fell through, but the guy said he's buying it next weekend, and plus I've gotten a $700 offer on it.

Now browsing through eBay, I find a brand new Digidesign Eleven Rack for $700, from smaller companies, high quantity.
Keep in mind the MSRP is $900.
From the same company, I can get a NEW one for $900, and this comes with two M-Audio BX5A Studio Monitors.

Now for my info/question.
I will mainly be using the 11R as a preamp, running through a Power Amp, all for band practices, and gigging.
But I also want to pursue in recording.
Since the 11R comes with Pro Tools 8, I figured this would be a nice way to start.
Now with recording, do I need studio monitors?
Can I run through my guitar cab, or computer speakers?
I know these monitors would sound one hell of a lot better than either, I'm just wanting to get the most bang for my buck.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.
