I'm currently building a telecaster and I'm using TV Jones Classic pickups. How deep does the pickup cavity need to be?

they mount the same as regular humbuckers, so just make sure the route is at least as deep as the mounting screws you'll be using.

unless you're hardmounting them. then you'll have to do some measurements yourself..

yeah..

hardmounting is where the pickup's basically bolted directly to the body, instead of using mounting screws and springs..

I'd assume you're just doing the typical mounting style though

Deep enough so that the pickups don't hit the bottom. Shallow enough so that the screws still reach.

What he said in a nut shell - you'll have to do some measuring to make sure you get it right.
