Well currently I have about 400-600 dollars to spend on something... but I don't plan to spend it all. Also I don' t know what to get... I have a decent guitar (Agile les paul), and a peavey classic 30 tube amp. Here are some options I have listed, if anyone has better ideas please explain! Oh and I play a huge variety of genres. I am in a jazz band, an indie rock band, and a prog metal band. The heaviest stuff I play is probably Mastodon-esque.

1) Upgrading pickups for my guitar, but I don't know which kind I should get.
2) New pre-amp tubes?
3) Get a bunch of pedals

I got a black Les Paul, and this Texan told me it wasn't as good as other color guitars becuse it was a 'nigger.'

A good tuner like a TC Electronic PolyTune is extremely useful.
A delay pedal and/or a harmonizer is always fun stuff to have...

Here's the TC Electronic PolyTune.

As far as delay pedals go, i like the Boss DD-3 or DD-7.
The DD-7 is more complete, and has an useful tap-tempo function.

The Boss PS-5 is a pretty cool pedal to experiment with. Harmonizing and detuning capabilities, among other stuff.
Especially useful for some Mastodon stuff, like the harmonizer for dual-guitar solos, and some octave effects.

Get a stompunderfoot big muff clone, real quality pedals.

though i'd just keep the money, and spend it on a great deal when someone puts a 1000 buck amp for 200 or something

i'm in the same situation as you though lol
